1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. As you use the platform, we record course progress, quiz results, and flag submissions so you can track your learning.
We also collect basic analytics data (pages visited, session duration, referral source) to understand how the platform is used and where to improve it.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Authenticate you and maintain your session
- Track and display your course progress
- Process payments if you subscribe to a paid plan
- Send transactional emails (password resets, receipts)
- Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share individually identifiable data with third parties except as described below.
3. Cookies
Krell Academy uses cookies strictly for authentication (session tokens) and basic analytics. We do not use tracking cookies, ad cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.
- Authentication cookies -- issued by Supabase to maintain your login session. These are essential for the platform to function.
- Analytics cookies -- used to collect anonymized usage data. No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies.
- Consent preference -- a localStorage entry that records whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase -- authentication and database hosting. Your email, hashed password, and progress data are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.
- Stripe -- payment processing for paid plans. Krell Academy never stores your credit card details directly; all payment data is handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
- Vercel -- application hosting and edge delivery. Vercel may collect basic access logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of standard web hosting.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and course progress for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
